Arts & Crafts

The Arts and Crafts movement flourished in Europe and North America between 1880 and 1920 and was pioneered by architect Augustus Pugin, writer John Ruskin, and designers William Morris and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It stood for traditional craftsmanship with hints of medieval, romantic, or folk decoration and was anti-industrial in creation, advocating economic and social reform.
